Dentsply SDR Plus Flowable Bulk Filling Material

Dentsply SDR Flowable Bulk Filling Material is a one-component, fluoride-containing, visible light cured, radiopaque resin composite restorative material. It is designed to be used as a base in class I and II restorations. SDR material has to handle characteristics typical of a “flowable” composite but can be placed in 4 mm increments with minimal polymerization stress. SDR™ material has a self-leveling feature that allows intimate adaptation to the prepared cavity walls. Available in one universal shade, it is designed to be overlayed with a methacrylate based universal/posterior composite for replacing missing occlusal/facial enamel.

Description

  • Universal Shade: The material is available in one universal shade, eliminating the need for shade selection and simplifying the restorative process.
  • Visible Light Cured: SDR material is cured using visible light, allowing for precise control over the curing process. This ensures thorough polymerization and reliable restoration hardness.
  • Enhanced Adaptation: The self-leveling characteristic of SDR material facilitates intimate adaptation to the prepared cavity walls, enhancing the marginal integrity and reducing the risk of microleakage.
  • Easy Overlay: SDR material is designed to be overlaid with a methacrylate-based universal or posterior composite for replacing missing occlusal or facial enamel. This allows for seamless integration of the restorative materials and optimal esthetic outcomes.
  • High Radiopacity: The material’s radiopacity is high, which aids in accurate diagnosis and assessment of the restoration of dental radiographs.
  • Compatible with Direct Restorations: SDR material can be used as a base in Class I and II direct restorations, providing a stable foundation for the placement of additional composite materials.
  • Liner Application: SDR material can also be used as a liner under direct restorative materials, particularly as a Class II box liner. This further supports the restoration and helps protect the tooth structure.
  • Reduced Treatment Time: The ability to place SDR material in larger increments (up to 4mm) and its self-leveling properties allow for faster and more efficient restorative procedures, reducing treatment time for both the dentist and the patient.
